'Thought you might be interested in this picture taken at the graduation dinner of last year's Airline Pilots' Glider Course, where we "liberated" the old damaged prop from AUJ's takeoff accident back in '78 or '79 (not sure of the exact year). For many years it hung on the wall at the Silver Chalice Pub - until retrieved by the daring members of last years
APGC, at great personal risk and cost to themselves. (Well, the booze cost a lot, and the hangovers were severe!) I would like to propose that the prop be mounted and displayed in the club house as a historical bit of VSA memorabilia.' |
